Your role at Hostinger
You'll play a key role in managing and evolving our server and data center infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include provisioning servers, maintaining and scaling hardware resources, and ensuring smooth operations within our data centers. You'll work closely with data center operations teams, oversee hardware deployments, new servers architectures, and provide servers to support the needs of our product teams.

Your skills and experience


  • Linux Knowledge: Good experience with Linux operating systems (Debian and Red Hat), with a strong desire to delve deeper into open-source technologies.
  • Server Hardware Proficiency: Familiarity with server hardware components, including RAID controllers, with the ability to bootstrap and kickstart servers effectively.
  • Data Center Management: Experienced in managing data center operations, including rack installations, cable management, and environmental monitoring. Either on-site or using remote hands to write tickets.
  • Network Knowledge: A basic understanding of data center networking concepts is preferred. Familiarity with rack-level connections, cabling, and common architectures such as Spine-Leaf architecture is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for maintaining up-to-date inventories of hardware components and spare parts, ensuring timely availability for replacements and upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities in diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues, ensuring system reliability.
  • Interest in Automation: Willingness to learn automation tools like Ansible.
  • Configuration Testing: Responsible for testing new server configurations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Always seeking new ways and solutions to grow, innovate, and improve existing tools and processes.
  • Effective Communicator: Good communication skills in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.

Your day-to-day


  • Linux Server Management: Oversee and manage Linux servers (Debian and Red Hat), including bootstrapping and kickstarting new systems.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Handle server hardware installations and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Data Center Operations: Work closely with data center staff or perform tasks directly on-site to manage essential activities, including hardware installations, cable routing, and maintaining optimal operating conditions.
  • Inventory Management: Keep an up-to-date inventory of hardware components and spare parts, ensuring timely availability for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools like Ansible and develop scripts in Bash and other languages to streamline and automate operational tasks.
  • Configuration Testing: Test new system configurations to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly to maintain system reliability.
  • Develop Your Skills: Work closely with experienced engineers, expanding your knowledge of hardware team best practices, tools, and technologies.

Compensation
