Position Purpose


The purpose of the job is to manage tasksin collaboration with different business functions.The jobholderis required tohelprepresentAxios in daily meetingspharmaceutical company and other involved stakeholders on a country andregionallevelsuch representation will help tounderstand their needs,communicateand positionour services,demonstrateourknow-how, and articulate our competitive advantages in the market. 


Duties and Responsibilities


Strategic Business Development


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and follow up on opportunities identified by Axios business leadersfor new projects or for expanding projects with the pharmaceutical industry at local and regional levels
  • Capture business development opportunities in the business development CRM.Similarlycapture stakeholder insights in the related database.
  • Request, support and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential clients
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify growth opportunities and understand the local changes that may affect business opportunities as well as Axios projects
  • Present monthly business opportunityreports using the CRM with clear metrics and KPIs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies
  • Follow up on leads within 1 business day of initial contact
  • From time to time you may be required to engage with hospitals, healthcare providers, distributors, and other stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with Axios’ mission and values.

Work directly with theChief Business Officer and Business Excellence Team 


  • Provide regular updates on market trends, client feedback, and competitive landscape
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to growth initiatives
  • Support the development of service offerings based on market demands
  • Attend industry events, conferences, or networking sessions 
  • Represent, the company at trade shows and industry forums
  • Monitor industry regulations and policy changes that mayimpactAxios' business operations, providing strategic guidance and advocacy as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Axios' programs, services, and industry trends, providing training and support to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.

  • Work with Business Excellence team on stakeholder outreach and business development opportunityMaintain ongoing and frequent communication with project team leaders including Axios regional and global staffto understand the operations, their strategicpotentialand the relationship with existing clients. 

Technical skills,Professionalskillsand competencies


  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market dynamics
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in patient support programs or market access is a plus

Educational Background and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical services companies (consulting, quality assurance, marketing agency, patient support programprovideror regulatory affairs)
  • Proventrack recordof achievingbusiness developmenttargets and driving business growth.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the pharmaceutical industry (key decision-makers, procurement managers, quality heads, regulatory professionals) at local and regional levels. 
  • Network extending to healthcare providers, hospitals, pharmaceutical distributors, wholesalers, supply chain partners and pharmacy chains

  • The position is based inKuala Lumpur, Malaysiaand it requires frequent travel toclient sites across local and regional territories and other sites torepresentAxios
