Channel Manager
Job Scope
The Channel / Partner account Manage – West Africa, is responsible for achieving quota by selling solutions into a defined territory that includes current Commvault customers and prospects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical and Operations
- Develop a territory plan for your assigned territory.
- Define and implement the channel strategy and roadmap of the assigned service/product’s line in alignment with the management
- Lead the partners’ relations in alignment with the company’s management and strategy. Build and Deepen relationship with BPs and VADs.
- Build and maintain a solid channel/customer database, analyze data and develop metrics evaluating loyalty and new opportunities
- Develop executable strategic engagement plans for your top Business Partners. (At least 3 top BPs per Focused Countries).
- Maintain a high level of face-to-face meeting activity with Business Partners, Top Alliance Partners and Value Adding Distributors.
- Prepare and present Commvault’s value propositions and core messages, to BPs and VADs.
- Maintain a high level of up-to-date relevant industry and Commvault knowledge.
- Drive Channel Empowerment, Training, Certifications for the Channel Partners.
- Identify and nurture focal Sales and Tech Sales resources, within the focused BPs.
- Secure the highest level of engagement and support to channel partners and respond to issues and/or queries in order to efficiently meet customers’ needs
- Develop and deliver accurate sales forecasts and market development reports in line with business objectives
Run Weekly deals cadence with Top Tier BPs
- Routinely check VADs readiness, skill sets and financial status working with internal finance and operations teams.
- Oversee the implementation of targeted programs and marketing activities, monitor progress and raise recommendations as and when necessary.
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or any other related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of successful Channel Management with demonstrable results.
- Ability to prepare and present Commvault’s value propositions and core messages, to BPs and VADs.
- Experience working for Multinational Tech Company will be an advantage.
- Understanding of the data protection and data management industry, products, competitors, history, emerging trends and changing marketplace.
- Demonstrable track record of value-based Channel Partners relationships in West and Central Africa.
- Ability to build and Nurture value-based relationship with key stakeholders in an account in a short time space.
- Value Based Relationship with one or more of our Alliance partners like - Microsoft, HPE, Dell, Pure Storage, Hitachi Vantara, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Nutanix and Vast
