Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee our construction projects in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all construction activities, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise engineers and supervisors on site.
  • Review and analyse tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and scope of
  • work.
  • Study job specifications with site engineers & foremen. As well determine appropriate construction methods, cost codes and look ahead plans.
  • Prepared project schedule with approval of Project Manager, determine resources requirements, and
  • dispatch workers to construction sites to meet project deadlines within approved budget.
  • Monitor all work executed, at all stages, snagging of all works sign off responsibility of the finished product.
  • Order the required materials for the construction works
  • Ensure that project milestone and objectives are achieved and project delivered on time.
  • Initiated steps to improve productivity in project execution.
  • Developing and implementing quality control programs.

  1. Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  2. Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on the job site.
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  6. Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  7. Relevant certifications in construction management or related fields are highly desirable.
  8. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
