Our client a leading holding company in Oman is looking for a Logistics Manager
Areas of Expertise
• Lead all aspects of Logistics including Warehouse, Transportation ,Capacity Planning, Logistics Supplier Governance, QA, HS&E and customization, People Management
• Accountable for ensuring Logistics exceeds the needs of the Business Units and Customers, through effective action plan development and execution
• Ensure that cost is managed within the budget, lead and implement cost saving projects and continually drive down the inefficiencies.
• Ensure that all areas of logistics within their control have the right level of capability and resources, technology, skills, and support
• Manage availability of transport capacity to manage business requirement and proactively work to manage the business plan/growth
• Manage all the supplier to deliver required services through negotiation, contract management, service review and reduce cost including our own fleet
• Responsible for key performance metrics in the area of cost, cash and service
• Manage all queries and requirements for Customs Clearance and coordinate accordingly with Legal, Regulatory, Internal Control and other functions.
• Ensure logistics operations are compliant to QA,HS&E , Legal, Internal control requirement to the company/local market
• Develop capable people through effective on-boarding, training and coaching.
• Manage people in line with the Company's principles, policies and plans.
• Manage various projects time to time and ensure deliverables according to the project
• Implement continuous improvement program to develop new process and implement for efficient warehouse management
• Proactively work on assessing risk and prompt mitigation to meet business growth and business continuity
• Implement capacity planning process to match the long term business growth plans in terms of warehousing & transportation
• Managing close coordination with principles to ensure business requirements are met effectively.
Preferred Experience
• FMCG, Retail Industry, Sales & Distribution Organizations
• Analytical Skills
• Managed multi brand/multi SKU warehouse ( 10000 Pallett space) and /transportation operations in a fast turnaround operations with a team size of 200-300
• Exposure to cold chain operation
• Proficiency in MS Office.
