JOB PURPOSE


To ensure the efficient management of engineering stores and inventory at the Walls Unilever ice cream plant. This role supports the continuous production of high-quality ice cream by maintaining optimal stock levels, enhancing safety standards, and leading improvement projects to boost operational efficiency and workforce performance.


WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE


  • Receiving of Engineering spare parts & Machineries.
  • Maintaining the Engineering Stores Inventory Database through SAP.
  • Maintaining the engineering spares store stock level as well as issue of items to reduce the MTTR.
  • Standardization the code of spares of different machines according to the standard of SAP.
  • Maintaining obsolete & written off engineering items & also timely disposal of those.
  • Developing standard operating procedure for different engineering stores related tasks and train the workforce accordingly.
  • Annual appraisal of the workforce based on their performance.
  • Monitoring key performance indicator (KPI), identifying sources of major losses related to stores items, generating project ideas, and implementing improvement projects.
  • Develop different local suppliers of different high cost imported machine spares.
  • Critical examination of materials, human beings, process, and equipment’s for identifying and eliminating safety hazards to ensure safety of the work force by focused shop floor round.
  • Analyzing preliminary & task hazard and communicate those to the workforce. Making Safety contact with workforce & third-party worker.
  • Issuing work permit and giving safety briefing to the workers before any risky job. Identifying potential hazards, reporting near miss, non-conformances & non-compliance with OH&S systems and safety incidents / accidents.
  • Implementing behavioral based safety through safety contact with the employees.
  • Compliance to Engineering to ensure safe working environment.
  • Leading sub-circle (operative’s small group) meeting, helping the operatives to identify sources of losses & leading improvement projects by the operatives.
  • Complained to Company’s corporate values.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED


Experiences & Qualifications


  • 2-3 years’ experience in the field of Inventory Management.
  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent degrees.
