Job description

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Manager with 8-10 years of expertise to lead and coordinate software deployment activities across multiple product and customer delivery streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for release planning, deployment oversight, risk management, and facilitating seamless collaboration between engineering, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure timely, high-quality software deployments




Key Responsibilities




  • Define and manage the deployment calendar across all product and customer delivery streams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional deployment planning with engineering leads, QA, DevOps, and product managers.
  • Ensure each deployment has clear scope, ownership, timelines, and impact analysis.
  • Facilitate deployment readiness reviews, Go/No-Go decisions, and sign-off processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and bundle features, bug fixes, and patches for deployment.
  • Manage scope changes and hotfixes, ensuring traceability and minimal disruption.
  • Work closely with DevOps to manage code deployment pipelines, staging environments, and rollback procedures.
  • Ensure consistency and version control across development, UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Oversee deployment automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for deployment status, timelines, and issues.
  • Share regular deployment dashboards and updates with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify risks and blockers proactively and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Partner with QA to validate test coverage, regression testing, and deployment certification.
  • Maintain documentation including deployment checklists, approvals, and audit logs.
  • Monitor deployment health post-release and coordinate prompt issue resolution.
  • Conduct post-deployment retrospectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Agile) are a plus.
  • 8-10 years in deployment management, release management, software delivery coordination, or related roles
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools and platforms such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product Management) in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks and blockers proactively.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and audit processes, particularly in regulated industries, is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
