We are looking for a skilled Mid-level DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team.
This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our AWS cloud environment, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards, particularly PCI DSS.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in cloud EKS, networking, security, automation, and container orchestration, with a strong understanding of microservice architecture.
Working closely with various teams, you will contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of a secure and efficient cloud infrastructure that meets the demands of a modern banking environment.
Core Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs.
Integrate and manage firewall solutions (Fortinet/Palo Alto) within cloud and hybrid environments.
Configure and maintain DNS, load balancing, API Gateway, and CloudFront services to support application delivery.
Implement compliance controls related to PCI DSS and other regulatory requirements based on established policies.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and manage infrastructure as code through tools such as Terraform and Pulumi.
Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams to ensure thorough documentation and adherence to banking regulations.
Provide support during business hours and participate in on-call rotation as required.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency, utilising monitoring tools such as Grafana.
Support containerised application deployments using Kubernetes and EKS, aligning with microservice architecture principles.
Manage identity and access management policies to enforce secure access across AWS resources.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and microservice-based application deployment is highly desirable.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector.
Proven experience with AWS cloud services, focusing on operational excellence, networking and security.
Familiarity with firewall technologies and cloud security integrations.
Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance requirements and their implementation in cloud environments.
Preferred Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) AWS Security Specialty Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) Networking/Security certifications (CCNA, Fortinet NSE)
