Mysql Database Administrator & Developer

About the Role

Alpha Zeta System’s foundations are shaped by 20+ years of software development in Lahore. We are looking for a MySQL developer to join our new team with hands-on experience in MySQL and its related tools.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing database objects (procedures, functions and triggers). Candidate should be skilled in database design and schema creation. You will work closely with the development and frontend teams to develop and support mission-critical applications and optimize data operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Procedure writing, functions, tables, schema understanding, relational databases, foreign relations, joins, primary and child tables.
• Experience with JSON data type and JSON manipulation is a must. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in MySQL development.
• Good understanding of data modeling, normalization, and security best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date documentation for database systems and configurations.
• Design, develop and maintain database objects, schemas, indexes, stored procedures and queries.
• Support developers with query optimization and database best practices.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Oracle Procedure writing, functions, tables and schema understanding
• Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments (Docker).
