Research Associate, CITRIC Centre for Clinical Best Practices (CCBP)


Introduction:


The Center for Clinical Best Practices (CCBP) has been working in collaboration with the U.S GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) Network to develop evidence-based guidelines and care pathways to standardize and improve health outcomes and quality of health care in Low and Middle-Income Countries. The center will channelize and consolidate resources and efforts to bring in the much needed standardized, high-quality evidence-based care to the communities where AKU exists, taking into account the local challenges and opportunities.

The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the CITRIC CCBP.


Responsibilities:


Reporting to Manager, CCBP, you will be responsible to assist the research team in conducting preliminary literature reviews, collecting and analyzing research data, scientific writing, completing manuscripts / grant applications, proofreading and editing any research documents and providing support to the Manager, CCBP to ensure smooth operations of the Centre.


Specifically, you will be responsible to:


  • work with Sections and Departments to coordinate guidelines and manual writing.
  • write, submit, keep track of deadlines including tracking the progress of guideline creation.
  • write the guidelines for submission to Section Heads and Chairs, as needed.
  • assess the research evidence and assist the panel of experts in creating recommendations and guidelines.
  • provide education and training in evidence-based quality improvement to trainees, staff, and faculty.

Requirements:


You should have:


  • MBBS/BSN/BDS or Allied Health degree
  • scientific writing, chapter writing experience would be preferred
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • experience with data presentation software programs, the use of computer applications, MS Office, EndNote and other relevant software.
