Job Summary
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments—primarily in support of our critical Oracle E-Business Suite applications. Responsibilities:

Job Summary
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments—primarily in support of our critical Oracle E-Business Suite applications. You will leverage your technical expertise in database deployment, performance tuning, and automation to ensure seamless, resilient business operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Administer, monitor, and optimize Oracle databases to ensure high availability and reliability.


  • Provide day-to-day management of Oracle E-Business Suite environments, including cloning, patching, and configuration.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and preventative measures implemented.


  • Perform regular performance tuning, maintenance activities, and backup/recovery operations.


  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks.


  • Document database configurations, technical procedures, and best practices.


  • Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to deliver continuous improvement and rapid incident resolution.


Qualifications & Skills


Mandatory:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).


  • Strong, hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (preferably Oracle 12c/19c).


  • Proven understanding and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite administration.


  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, or relevant scripting languages).


  • Expertise in database maintenance, cloning, patching, and performance tuning.


  • Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.


Good-to-Have:


  • Experience with Oracle RAC environments or Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).


  • Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle database solutions.


  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.


  • Previous experience developing technical documentation.


  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
