As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments—primarily in support of our critical Oracle E-Business Suite applications. Job Summary
As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle database environments—primarily in support of our critical Oracle E-Business Suite applications. You will leverage your technical expertise in database deployment, performance tuning, and automation to ensure seamless, resilient business operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and optimize Oracle databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
Provide day-to-day management of Oracle E-Business Suite environments, including cloning, patching, and configuration.
Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and preventative measures implemented.
Perform regular performance tuning, maintenance activities, and backup/recovery operations.
Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks.
Document database configurations, technical procedures, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to deliver continuous improvement and rapid incident resolution.
Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong, hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (preferably Oracle 12c/19c).
Proven understanding and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite administration.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, or relevant scripting languages).
Expertise in database maintenance, cloning, patching, and performance tuning.
Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good-to-Have:
Experience with Oracle RAC environments or Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle database solutions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience developing technical documentation.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional).
