Senior Telephony DevOps Engineer

• Design, develop, and automate telephony-related applications using Node.js, Python, PHP, React, and microservice architectures.
• Integrate LLMs, STT/TTS engines, conversational AI, and real-time translation pipelines directly with Asterisk/VoIP systems to enable intelligent voice automation.
• Architect, maintain, and optimize Asterisk PBX, IVR flows, call-center servers, SIP routing, SBCs, and global VoIP infrastructure.
• Ensure telephony security, SIP hardening, redundancy, QoS management, failover routing, and continuous service optimization.
• Build, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid deployment of telephony microservices and infrastructure updates.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized environments using Docker/Kubernetes with automated scaling and recovery.
• Perform in-depth analysis of Linux servers for performance, resource utilization, scalability, and high-availability design.
• Develop comprehensive monitoring dashboards/tools for real-time visibility of calls, audio quality, latency, server health, and alerts.
• Build and maintain telephony-integrated APIs, real-time audio streaming modules, WebRTC components, and backend automation workflows.
• Conduct continuous R&D on telephony, AI, and DevOps technologies to improve system efficiency, reliability, and capabilities.
• Manage SMPP connections, SMS gateways, routing logic, DLR handling, and API-based messaging workflows.
• Assist in designing backend systems, databases, schemas, data models, and integration strategies across telephony applications.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field (BSCS/BSSE/BSIT/BE)
• Experience:   5-8+ Years

Skills

• Strong programming skills in Node.js, Python, PHP, React, Next.js, Bash, and scripting for backend and automation tasks.
• Deep understanding of VoIP protocols including SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP, IAX, WebRTC, WS/WSS, TLS, and NAT traversal mechanisms.
• Hands-on expertise with Asterisk, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH, and RTP/media server configuration.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux systems (CentOS/RHEL).
• Strong understanding of LLMs (OpenAI, DeepSeek, Meta, Mistral), STT/TTS engines, embeddings, and AI-driven voice automation.
• Experience with SMPP protocol, SMS routing, DLR processing, and API-based messaging services.
• Knowledge of database design, SQL optimization, caching, and distributed system architecture.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, gRPC, MQTT, AudioSocket, and real-time media streaming.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, performance optimization, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of system security, SIP firewalling, TLS management, server hardening, and compliance best practices.
