Job Overview
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for supporting project delivery in Portugal by collaborating with the other members of the Project Management practice both locally and abroad. Your core responsibilities involve assisting in the development of project management practices (standards, processes, and reporting) while also delivering client facing projects with our local and overseas teams at Choreograph. Additionally, you will assist on managing the project portfolio and making sure the team’s capacity is leveraged to its full potential. 

 

Key Responsibilities
Client facing:

• Assist in ensuring that projects are properly scoped, resourced, and delivered.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements, ensuring alignment with Portugal's portfolio and global initiatives.
• Support client relationships, addressing concerns and changes promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion.
• Assist in optimizing resource allocation and timelines.
• Guarantee that any project risks and issues are managed and escalated if needed.
• Support in escalating any resourcing constraints to the relevant internal stakeholders.
• Act as a point of contact for clients (both internal to WPP and external), facilitating productive and transparent communication throughout all project phases, managing their expectations across all projects.

Internal:

• Support the development of governance within Choreograph to achieve best practices overall.
• Contribute to improve the program and project management tools and processes used by the team.
• Maintain an up-to-date portfolio of active projects.
• Assist in solving resourcing constraints.
• Support in business development with scope definition, project plans, costing, and insight into resources and their availability.
• For projects delivered by cross-agency teams, be the interface between the Choreograph team and the teams from other agencies.

 

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience managing the delivery of projects and programs within a technical or professional services environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with PMO environments.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Solid commercial understanding.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Nice to have recognized project or program management certification, or formal training in project or program management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese.
