About the role
You will be responsible to ensure that all scheduled and non-scheduled Aircraft equipment maintenance tasks are carried out under the supervision of GSE Shift leader to the highest possible standard. All maintenance (periodic and corrective) should be performed as per manufacturer maintenance manuals and Part 145 A/C equipment workshop procedures, in the most productive and cost-effective manner using the available resources. Responsible for all required work in accordance with approved technical data and QR standards and procedures to the highest shop practices and in the interest of safety of aircraft equipment. Responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks within the frame work of procedures and set time frames by performing effectively with an environment of time constraints and a high level of technical competency.
Some of the tasks include:
• Conduct the scheduled daily, monthly and annual periodic checks on all aircraft equipment in order to ensure that all equipment is working properly and prevent any issues or concerns.
• Operates aircraft equipment or tooling relating to work area in order to accomplish the maintenance tasks and to maintain serviceability.
• Address and resolve maintenance tasks escalated by the Assistant Mechanic following established protocols set by the maintenance manuals and Part 145 A/C Equipment Workshop Procedures.
• Examines and inspects equipment components for cracks, breaks or leaks and repairs accordingly.
• Report and escalate major repair work needed to be done to the Shift Leader following established protocols set by the maintenance manuals and Part 145 Aircraft Equipment Workshop Procedures.
• Assembles and installs electrical, plumbing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools.
• Reads and interprets equipment maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Implement technical solutions for various technical problems related to technical base or line maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance on aircraft equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed to address issues with efficiency.
• Ensure that maintenance tasks comply with the technical instructions to carry out maintenance on ground equipment and sign off that work completed is in accordance with the CMM or stated instructions

About You
Dynamic and competent candidate to join the Technical GSE Department must possess the following:
• High School Qualification/Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of job-related/Aircraft Maintenance experience (including apprenticeship)
• Trade or Vocational Qualification in Aircraft Maintenance OR Equivalent Aeronautical Degree
Job Specific Skills:
• English language and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Part 145 aircraft equipment Maintenance.
• Ability to perform most tasks and duties independently typical to area of specialty.
• Repairing aircraft equipment, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Good knowledge of TRAX ERP w.r.t GSE inventory and must able complete the documentation after each task.
• Understanding categories of equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents w.r.t GSE required to carry out various equipment maintenance tasks
• Driving License is preferred
