Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Oversee the activities of the service providers performing jetty and stevedoring activities, including discharging of cargo. Allocate port equipment and collate cargo & vessel documentation to facilitate logistics operations.



Required Experience and Skills
  • 4 years experience, 2 years of which must have been in the marine industry, preferably in port logistics.
  • Must be competent with computers and have knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and email Packages.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of cargo operations, safety and planning for dry cargoes and oil terminals including stevedore operations of a multi cargo port.
  • Basic knowledge of port operations contracts and experience in managing port labour.

Educational Qualifications

Completed secondary education or certified mate's license
