We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector in Qatar. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects, from residential buildings to commercial facilities, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities:

  1. Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.
  3. Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
  4. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
  5. Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  6. Inspect and replace damaged framework, flooring, and other structures as necessary.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  2. Excellent knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials, including their properties and uses.
  3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  5. Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
  6. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically when faced with challenges.
  8. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new carpentry methods and technologies.
  9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  10. Certification or apprenticeship in carpentry is a plus.
