Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine project requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, and join wood materials according to design and specification.
Install wooden flooring, skirting boards, ceilings, and decorative elements when required.
Assist in minor masonry, painting, or finishing works related to carpentry projects.
Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of existing furniture and woodwork across guest rooms, offices, and public areas.
Repair or replace damaged doors, frames, locks, hinges, and handles.
Refinish, polish, or re-stain furniture and wooden surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests or breakdowns reported by other departments.
Maintain all carpentry tools and machinery in good working condition.
Ensure proper use, cleaning, and safe storage of tools after use.
Report any malfunctioning or missing equipment to the supervisor.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Comply with fire and safety regulations while performing carpentry tasks.
Handle and store materials and chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets and company policy.
Keep the workshop and work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
Coordinate with other maintenance staff (plumbing, electrical, painting) to complete multidisciplinary tasks.
Communicate effectively with the Engineering Supervisor regarding work progress and materials needed.
Assist in training junior technicians or apprentices when assigned.
