Eram Talent is currently looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Data Center Technician to join our team in Saudi Arabia.
Data Center Technician perform 24x7 shifts for Data Centers.
Handle incidents and ensure safety requirements are met.
Monitor environmental, power and server hardware.
Handle cabling tasks for copper and fiber.
Control access into the data centers, ensure work permits and material gate passes are issued.
Install equipment in racks and document changes.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and support Data Center facilities on a 24x7 shift basis, ensuring safety and uptime.
Perform racking, de-racking, and physical installation of servers, network devices, power, KVM, and cabling.
Handle copper and fiber cabling in compliance with TIA-942 standards.
Monitor and record environmental and facility systems including power, HVAC, fire detection/suppression, temperature, and humidity.
Perform break/fix support for Windows and Linux servers in coordination with system owners and hardware vendors.
Conduct basic OS installation and server configuration.
Ensure data center security, including access control, visitor logging, escorting, and work permit compliance.
Interface with vendors (HP, Dell, Sun, Supermicro) for hardware implementation and troubleshooting.
Prepare end-of-shift reports and maintain accurate documentation of changes.
Participate in on-call rotation, night/weekend shifts, and other operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in Data Center operations.
Hands-on experience with server hardware installation, troubleshooting, and cabling (copper and fiber).
Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server and Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, power circuits, and HVAC.
Familiarity with data center safety, security, and operational SOPs.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic documentation/reporting.
Ability to work shifts, nights, weekends, and on-call schedules.
