Job Summary: The Design / Engineering – Manager is responsible for overseeing / managing all design / engineering activities related to construction of flow line works. This role involves close co-ordination with the Engineering contractor, Client , Project manager, QHSE team , planning team , materials department and other stakeholder for smooth operation/handover of the project on time, within budget, and as per project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Lead and manage a team of design engineers / designer’s in the development of design packages for pipeline / flowline designs for onshore projects.
2.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within the specified scope, schedule, and budget.
3.Oversee and guide the design of pipeline and flowline systems, including hydraulic calculations, material selection, route optimization, structural integrity, and system compatibility.
4.Ensure designs adhere to local, national, and international regulations, including safety standards, environmental requirements, and industry codes (e.g., ASME, API, etc.).
5.Ensure that designs meet quality standards, and that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time.
6.Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project expectations and address design concerns.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2.Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and construction of pipelines and flowlines within the Oil & Gas industry.
3.Experience in the oil and gas industry is must.
4.Minimum of 6-8 years of GCC experience.
5.Deep understanding of pipeline design, flowline systems, and related infrastructure., Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
6.Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS, Caesar II, or similar tools.
7.Experience in hydraulic analysis, stress analysis, and material selection for pipeline design.
