Responsibilities


  • Carry out dimensional surveys of structures, modules, and piping during fabrication and installation.
  • Operate precision instruments including Total Station, Laser Scanner, Theodolite, Vernier calipers, and Laser Trackers.
  • Verify and record dimensions against drawings, isometrics, and 3D models.
  • Assist in as-built surveys and provide accurate data for drawing/model updates.
  • Generate dimensional control reports, highlighting non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and QA/QC teams to resolve fit-up or alignment issues.
  • Maintain calibration and safe handling of surveying and measuring equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards during site and workshop activities.

Qualifications & Experience


  • Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Civil, or Survey Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–6 years’ experience in dimensional control within oil & gas, shipbuilding, construction, or heavy fabrication projects.
  • Proficiency in using surveying/measuring equipment (Total Station, Laser Tracker, Theodolite).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other CAD/3D software is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of international standards (ASME, ISO, API).
