The Driver Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily driver operations to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of employees, clients, goods, and documents. The role focuses on supervising drivers' performance, enforcing safety and compliance standards, coordinating schedules and routes, and ensuring vehicles are operated responsibly in line with company policies and traffic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of company drivers to ensure punctual and safe transportation operations.
Ensure drivers follow assigned routes, schedules, and delivery timelines to maximize operational efficiency.
Monitor driver compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Verify that routine vehicle checks are completed by drivers, including fuel levels, oil, tire pressure, and general roadworthiness.
Coordinate with the Fleet Coordinator to report mechanical issues, maintenance requirements, or vehicle defects.
Ensure vehicles are kept clean, secure, and properly maintained.
Monitor loading and unloading of materials to ensure safe handling and prevent damage or loss.
Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, vehicle logs, and maintenance reports.
Investigate and report accidents, delays, incidents, or safety concerns promptly and accurately.
Conduct driver briefings, toolbox talks, and basic coaching to reinforce safe driving practices and performance standards.
Ensure the safety and security of passengers, cargo, and company vehicles at all times.
Support the Department Head with operational reports and ad hoc transport-related duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is an advantage.
Valid Heavy & Light driving license.
3 to 5 years of proven experience in a driving or transport supervision role.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety standards, and transport regulations.
Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and reporting procedures.
Ability to supervise drivers, manage schedules, and handle daily issues.
Good English language skills, both written and oral required. Arabic is an advantage
