About the role
Project WAHED is a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways’ most exciting Business Transformation journey, where you will play a key role in supporting the ERP transformation from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud. You will be responsible for the business application of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules and related systems to derive maximum benefits through automation of core financial and related processes. Also responsible to proactively access IT needs for finance & procurement and work with IT.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for functional overseeing of enterprise application such as Oracle E-Business suite specifically for finance & procurement.
- Manage direct reports on application testing related to oracle bug fixes, report enhancements, new functions and version upgrades. Ensure timely resolution of functional issues by raising service request with Oracle and tracking to closure. Test solutions given by Oracle and coordinate with IT to implement the solution in production.
- Support and Train users in effectively using of all Finance Applications.
- Work closely with IT to evaluate and propose new applications for Finance organization to use.
- Interact with section heads on application requirements to improve the process with respect to control, efficiency and standardize process.
- Manage finance period closing activities with respect to ERP systems for Qatar Airways Group
- Strictly adhere to processes and control to manage right level of access and to meet the growing user requirements related to Oracle ERP.
- Ensure data integrity of Oracle ERP, from end user perspective and data from various sources.
- Business Lead for IT projects to ensure deliverables are in line with business requirements. Provide functional inputs to IT for process/functional improvements and report/interface developments.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
- Super user level knowledge & experience of Oracle ERP systems
- Excellent computer skills.
- Good Judgment and problem solving
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task assignments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information & records.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Preferred
- Oracle Certification in Finance
