The IT Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects that align with organizational goals. This role involves managing project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure high-quality outcomes. The IT Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, mitigates risks, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery processes. This position requires a strong blend of technical understanding, leadership, and project management expertise to manage complex IT initiatives effectively.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle using appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
Facilitate collaboration between IT teams, business units, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
Drive continuous process improvements in project management practices.
Manage project documentation and deliverables to maintain transparency and accountability.
Support change management activities related to project implementations.
Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (PMP, Agile/Scrum, PRINCE2).
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and system integration.
Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar).
Budgeting and financial management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
Knowledge of risk management and quality assurance processes.
Understanding of vendor management and contract negotiation.
Implementation of SaaS products
Knowledge of SCRUM methodology
Use of tools like MS Planner, MS Projects, Jira
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
