The Junior Hostess is responsible to assist restaurant management in ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for guests. They typically handle tasks related to guest seating, reservations, and overall customer service. Junior Hostesses may also assist with greeting guests, managing waitlists, and coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure efficient table turnover. Additionally, they may provide assistance to guests with inquiries, resolve minor issues, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant.
Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor, and escort them to their tables.
Assist in managing the restaurant's reservation system, including booking, modifying, and confirming reservations as needed.
Maintain an organized and efficient seating plan, ensuring that tables are allocated appropriately based on reservation times, party sizes, and server availability.
Communicate effectively with serving staff and kitchen personnel to ensure timely seating, efficient table turnover, and accurate order delivery.
Assist guests with inquiries, provide information about menu offerings, daily specials, and restaurant policies, and address any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to health and safety regulations, promptly addressing any issues that arise.
Collaborate with other front-of-house staff, such as servers and bussers, to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations during peak dining hours.
Assist in coordinating waitlists during busy periods, providing estimated wait times to guests and managing seating priorities based on reservation status and party size.
Assist senior hostesses and restaurant management with administrative tasks, such as maintaining guest records, updating seating charts, and compiling guest feedback.
Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant, enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.
Ability to effectively communicate with guests, fellow staff members, and management, conveying information clearly and professionally.
Strong customer service skills to provide guests with a positive dining experience, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as seating guests, managing reservations, and assisting with administrative duties, while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in seating assignments, reservation management, and guest inquiries, while also maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area.
Capacity to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other front-of-house staff and communicating effectively with kitchen personnel to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
Minimum 3 year(s) working experience, 2 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
