Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Lead Venue Technology Manager who will be responsible for the overall management and oversight of all technology systems within a cluster of event venues. This role entails leading the installation, maintenance, and operation of all technological equipment and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration for both daily operations and live events.

Responsibilities:

Venue Technology Operations & Support:
- Manage the full lifecycle of venue technology services and solutions, including ICT, AV, and ELV systems.

- Serve as the primary liaison with stadium/facility management, security teams, and external authorities on all technology-related matters.

- Lead the venue ICT team, providing guidance, assigning tasks via service desk tickets, and ensuring timely resolution of all issues.

- Coordinate with all stakeholders for the ongoing maintenance, rectification, and readiness of IT infrastructure and systems.

- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all venue technology.

- Oversee and maintain all technical rooms and spaces housing critical infrastructure.

- Monitor, track, and resolve technology-related issues and risks, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

- Maintain accurate records of system installations, configurations, maintenance, and a comprehensive asset inventory.

Event Technology Delivery & Support:
- Conduct site surveys and assess existing systems to plan for event requirements.

- Collaborate with event organizers to understand technical needs and act as the main point of contact for technology support.

- Oversee the planning, design, and allocation of technology for events in coordination with internal functional areas.

- Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of event overlay systems, including AV, networking, and integrations with permanent venue systems.

- Coordinate vendor and supplier activities for event-specific technology needs, including access and material permits.

- Provide end-to-end technical support during event bump-in, live operations, and bump-out, troubleshooting issues in real-time.

- Conduct system acceptance tests with clients and ensure all technology is operational for event start.

- Document event setups, configurations, and post-event reports for continuous improvement.


Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 12 years of experience in implementing, maintaining, and supporting ICT and AV/ELV systems, preferably within sports venues, large entertainment complexes, or for major events.

- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly preferred.

- Proven expertise in ICT infrastructure and integrated systems such as Audio-Visual Systems (Public Address, sound reinforcement, video displays, video conferencing, IPTV, broadcast). and ELV Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Turnstiles, etc.).

- Strong background in IT management, preferably in a venue, stadium, or hospitality environment.

- Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies and tools.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and provide solutions during live events.
