Legal Counsel - Derivatives

Location: Qatar

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing regulatory and legal aspects of exchange and post-trade operations, focusing on derivatives and clearing.
• Candidate will support the company in launching and developing the derivatives exchange and a Central Clearing Counterparty.
• Manage work with regulators, maintain rule books, draft contracts, and provide legal advice.
• Support product and market development initiatives and other Department-related tasks.

Legal Professional Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with law degree (Masters/Ph.D. preferred).
• At least ten years of legal and regulatory experience.
• Knowledge of financial services sector, especially exchanges and derivatives.
• Experience in liaising with regulators.
