As a leader in gastroenterology, you will provide specialized medical care to patients with digestive disorders. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Senior Gastroenterology Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality of care.
Provide expert consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, including but not limited to, gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, liver diseases, and cancers.
Perform advanced endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), ERCP, and others as per department protocols.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans for patients.
Lead and mentor junior medical staff, fellows, and residents within the gastroenterology department.
Provide guidance on complex cases and contribute to continuous medical education and professional development initiatives.
Comply with all established Hospital practices regarding consultations, patient care, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow up practices.
Foster a culture of clinical excellence, research, and evidence-based practice within the department.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and patient experience.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, clinical protocols, and best practices in gastroenterology.
Engage in clinical research, publications, and presentations at conferences to advance knowledge in the field of gastroenterology.
Collaborate with academic institutions and participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
Collaborate effectively with other departments, healthcare professionals, and administrators to optimize patient care pathways and outcomes.
Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology, attend conferences, and maintain professional certifications and licensures.
Proven ability to manage diverse patient populations and complex medical conditions in a primary care setting.

Minimum 3 years of experience as Consultant Gastroenterologist (Mandatory).
Preferred: Minimum 1 year’s work experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain).
