Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Supervisor works under the general guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Engineer, this position is responsible to oversees and coordinates to workers in maintaining and repairing electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other outlet requirements to ensure continuity of operations are performed in a safely manner. This role also ensures to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.




Job Responsibilities 1

Oversee the maintenance team, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure effective performance and adherence to maintenance schedules and standards.


Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and workflows, coordinating with production and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime and optimize maintenance activities.


Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, efficiently to meet maintenance objectives while managing costs and maximizing productivity.


Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to maintenance staff, promoting skill development, knowledge enhancement, and career advancement.


Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety in the workplace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and implementing corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.


Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities, coordinating preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing corrective measures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.


Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels, and generate reports to track maintenance performance, equipment uptime, and costs.


Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers for maintenance services, procurement of spare parts, and equipment repairs, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.


Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives in maintenance operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.


Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations, such as equipment failures or facility damage, mobilizing resources, and implementing contingency plans to minimize disruption and restore operations promptly.


Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or other relevant technical systems and equipment, coupled with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair.


Strong leadership and management skills to supervise and motivate maintenance teams, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.


Ability to analyze complex maintenance issues, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions to resolve problems efficiently and prevent recurrence.


Proficiency in planning and organizing maintenance activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and prioritization, to ensure timely completion of tasks and optimization of resources.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, collaboration, and alignment towards maintenance goals.


ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
