Primary Purpose of the Job
Lead and provide subject matter expertise on the Department’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring full compliance with QATAR ENERGY standards, applicable international standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor, oversee, and report on all quality-related activities for assigned projects.

Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry with internationally recognized EPIC contractors or end-user/owner organizations, including projects involving pipelines and process plants.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in major EPIC projects, with involvement across all phases of Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Construction (E‑P‑I‑C), progressing from working-level roles to independently managing or heading the QA/QC function, supported by strong technical expertise in the core discipline.
  • Sound working knowledge of manufacturing inspection and certification processes for project equipment and materials, along with the associated Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices
  • Experience working from corporate offices with functional responsibility for coordinating, managing, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously is desirable.
  • Proven ability to use and interpret Shell Design Engineering Practices (DEPs) and applicable international codes and standards, including ASME, ASTM, NACE, AWS, API, BS, and ISO.
  • Strong knowledge of welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is mandatory.

Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering from internationally recognized organization or equivalent.
  • IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor Certification, ASNT Level-II Certification in RT / MT/PT/UT,
  • Certifications in welding and painting inspection activities from internationally recognized certification bodies like AWS / CSWIP/TWI.
  • Professional certification / affiliation with internationally recognized Quality organizations like CQI or ASQ or similar is desirable.
