Primary Purpose of the Job

Provide technical design and engineering services in Technical HSE Engineering for all assigned projects. Ensure technical quality in line with QatarEnergy procedures, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, schedule, cost, and HSE compliance.



Required Experience and Skills
  • Conduct Technical HSE Engineering activities and in-house site surveys from concept through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy’s technical assurance practices, engineering standards, and HSE policies.
  • Review and assess technical deviations and variations from approved codes and standards.
  • Support the Engineering Department in reviewing and updating QatarEnergy standards and amendments to external standards.
  • Plan and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure timely and quality technical service delivery.
  • Develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
  • Review and approve method statements from contractors for scope compliance; resolve technical issues collaboratively.
  • Monitor and update schedules for in-house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC schedules.
  • Evaluate technical bid packages and contract changes for compliance with approved guidelines and practices.

Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Chartered/Professional Engineer status is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards and codes relevant to Technical HSE.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality across multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
