About the role


We are looking for a Ticketing Officer to join our Reservation & Ticketing team within Doha Sales. 


As a Ticketing Officer, you will lead and motivate the Ticketing staff and act as intermediary between the staff and the management. You will be supervising the team in order to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and surpass the annual revenue targets.


As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:


  • Handle customer requirements and/or requests, including fare quotes, and ensure minimum complaints.


  • Advise and support Travel Agents with seat confirmation and arrange VIP Bookings/ticketing queries.


  • Support staff and customers in resolving difficult issues/problems pertaining to Reservations & Ticketing on a daily basis.


  • Guide and support staff and keep them updated on relevant changes in the industry and QR products/services.


  • Investigate complaints to define and correct weak areas and thereafter, either provide recommendations or escalate to the Line Management for further actions.


  • Manage mishandled passengers, absent records, and passengers whose boarding was denied, as and when required.


  • Oversee booking patterns and monitor performance.


  • Regularly assess and evaluate staff performance on a quarterly basis.


  • Be responsible for on-job day-to-day training/coaching session for new-joiners, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and according to schedule.


  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About you


We are looking for a professional who possesses the following skills and experience:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience


  • A recognized certificate in IATA or Airline Advanced Passenger Tariff and Pricing Course


  • Thorough knowledge of special rates / offers / promotions preferred


  • Experience in Qatar Airways In-House Computer Reservation & Ticketing (e.g. Amadeus).


  • Proven ability to manage room sales with due regards to the revenue.


  • Ability to adhere to Management Policy and target sales mix to achieve maximum room revenue ensuring every opportunity to sell is taken.


  • Fair knowledge of World Geography
