Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Virtualization Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade virtualization solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency, scalability, resilience, and performance across on-premise and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design end-to-end virtualization architecture blueprints covering compute, storage, network, and cloud integration.

- Plan and manage resource allocation, workload placement, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies within virtualized environments.

- Lead and oversee the implementation of virtualization solutions in collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.

- Configure, manage, and optimize virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage resources.

- Develop a virtualization strategy aligned with business objectives, IT standards, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.

- Establish and maintain monitoring processes to track virtualization infrastructure performance, capacity, and health.

- Implement integration with cloud platforms to ensure service continuity, scalability, and high availability.

- Perform regular maintenance activities to ensure system stability, security, and minimal downtime.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues within the virtualized environment.

- Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline virtual machine provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational efficiency.

- Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.

- Stay current with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and infrastructure best practices.


Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management.

- At least 3 years of experience in software-defined storage (VNX).

- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud virtualization and high availability management.

- Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise virtualization platforms and infrastructure operations.

- Proven ability to design, implement, and support highly available and scalable virtualized environments.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex infrastructure issues.

- Experience working with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders.
Certifications:

- VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)

- VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)

- Microsoft Azure Foundation

- Google Cloud Foundation
