Area Manager – Service Delivery

Your Opportunity  


We are looking for an Area Manager who will Person in-charge of the overall operational management of geographical zone of fire stations and all associated Fire & Rescue functions.


He or She will Manage Station Officers and Station Managers within NEOM Camps. The ideal candidate with provides operational incident response both at an advisory and strategic level to Client if required based on the severity of the emergency event.
 


The ideal candidate should excel in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration, with adaptability and resilience in high-pressure situations. They must also demonstrate ethical integrity, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively.


This role reports directly to the Head of Operations - West Coast.  


Key Accountabilities 


  • Key Point of Contact in region for any operational matters which do not need to be escalated to the Head of Operations
  • Budget responsibility across NEOM Camps
  • Responsible for managing, coordinating & directing all Fire & Rescue services related to emergency incidents and preparedness based on the identified credible scenarios within their zonal jurisdiction consisting of multiple fire and ambulance stations;
  • Responsible for the welfare of all staff within their zonal jurisdiction.
  • Responsible for interacting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the integrated emergency management within their zonal jurisdiction.
  • Responsible for the identification and management of sufficient resources to meet the needs of all identified credible scenarios both in terms of personnel and equipment in line with the associated regulations and contracts
  • Responsible for the effective management of all Fire & Rescue resources for given locations. This is inclusive of engaging and working with other internal/external stakeholders to ensure service continuity;
  • Responsible for maintaining client relationships and integrating into their service delivery team. Attending meetings and resolving issues within their remit and escalating where required.
  • Responsible where required for planning budget expenditure requirement for approval of all Fire and Rescue resources and service delivery against agreed budgets;
  • Develop service documentation in line with divisional standards that support the integrated emergency response across their jurisdiction.
  • This position may be required to carry out other tasks from time to time as directed by the line manager or a member of the Senior Management Team.Proactive management of client relationship 
  • Proactive management of on site risks – ensuring at all times the operational risk register is kept up to date

Specific Requirements (What we are looking for in our candidates) 


  • Proven ability to inspire teams, drive change, and collaborate effectively across all levels, leveraging strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • 10 - 15 years experience in fire/rescue services including a minimum of five (5) years in a management position. 
  • 2 of the last 5 years must have been spent in an equivalent position. 
  • Middle East work experience is desirable.
  • Skilled in analyzing complex situations, managing risks, and making critical, data-driven decisions under pressure to ensure effective emergency response.
  • Strong understanding of budgets, contracts, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to ensure compliance and manage resources effectively.
  • Excellent skills in conveying complex information clearly, maintaining transparency, and building trust with diverse stakeholders, including external partners and communities.
  • Commitment to professional development, staying updated on industry trends, and implementing innovative technologies to enhance emergency management capabilities.
