Role Description
The Bid Writer and Analyst role at RISE SCE is a key member of the Consulting & Advisory team.
As a bid writer, the person will be required to craft detailed and compelling proposals that align with briefs received from either an existing or new client, with the ability to work as part of a busy team and manage multiple bid drafts at the same time.
In addition, the Analyst function of the role will require he/her to contribute to the Consulting and Advisory practices’ client projects, supporting the submission of deliverables through best-in-class analysis and consulting practices.
A strong background in copywriting for marketing, media and commercial services, as well as a good working knowledge of the Middle East are essential.
The role requires travel within the GCC and the ability to work remotely from client or other RISE offices when required.
The Bid writer & Analyst will play a pivotal role in advancing and driving SCE new business proposals, whilst also contributing as part of the broader Consulting and Advisory team, assisting in creating project deliverables and strategic initiatives. This person will be expected to flourish in a bustling environment, confidently managing multiple bids and/or client projects simultaneously, and showcasing impeccable organisational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis, cultivating insightful strategies that bolster our competitive edge, support in understanding project requirements, client needs, industry benchmarks, and emerging trends.
- Writing clear, persuasive, and comprehensive bid proposals, including technical specifications, pricing structures, and project timelines.
- Working closely with the BD function, collaborating with subject matter experts, sales teams, and project managers to gather information and insights for the proposal.
- Ensuring proposals are of the highest quality by reviewing, editing, and proofreading for grammar, clarity and consistency.
- Thinking outside of the box to develop new approaches to complex briefs in a bid response, with a requirement to refresh RISE’s bid content consistently
- In collaboration with the RISE Creative team, formatting proposals to align with company branding and presentation standards.
- Managing proposal submission deadlines and ensure all necessary documents are prepared in a timely manner including maintaining progress on the SCE project management, platforms and CRM.
- Analysing competitors' proposals to identify strengths and weaknesses to improve your own proposals.
- Maintaining a database of proposal templates, content, and past proposals for future reference.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices for bid proposal writing to continually improve the quality of proposals.
- Maintaining records of all proposals, including versions, feedback, and outcomes.
- Ensuring proposals adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements, including submission through 3rd party ERP platforms
- Demonstrating commercial awareness and understanding of the client agenda with examples of this reflected in findings and work
- Working effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress

- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Arabic Fluency is a plus

- Ability to deliver messages and actions in a coherent and structured manner
Technical skills:
- Strong writing skills, with an ability to explain complex ideas succinctly using Microsoft Powerpoint
