Position Summary:


As a CBU Project Manager (E1) at Hill International, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of construction projects for our clients in the Commercial Building Unit (CBU). You will oversee all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


General Description of Role and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and plans to ensure successful project delivery
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, providing timely solutions to mitigate any issues
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
  • Manage project change orders and contract negotiations
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to clients and senior management
  • Mentor and supervise project team members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Implement and maintain project management best practices, processes, and procedures
  • Proactively identify opportunities for project improvements and efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards on project sites

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in project management, preferably in the commercial building sector
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methods, and tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • PMP certification is an asset
