Data Architect

Data Architect Posi on Overview the Data Architect is responsible for designing, structuring, and maintaining the organization’s on-premises Microsoft -based data architecture.
This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and efficient data models, optimizing SQL Server environments, enforcing data governance policies, and enabling advanced analyze cs and AI capability es using Microsoft technologies.
  Core Responsibilities: 1.
Data Modelling and Database Design .
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using Microsoft tools (e.
g., SQL Server Management Studio, Power Designer).
· Design normalized and denormalized relational database schemas on Microsoft SQL Server.
· Ensure data structures support business operations, reporting needs, and AI/ML initiatives   2.
SQL Server Administration and Optimization · Administer Microsoft SQL Server instances, including installation, configuration on, security hardening, and patching.
· Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, partitioning, query tuning, and server resource management.
· Implement backup, recovery, replica on, and high-availability solutions (e.
g., Always on Availability Groups, SQL Server Clustering).
  3. Data Governance and Compliance · Establish and maintain data governance frameworks aligned with corporate and regulatory requirements (e.
g., GDPR, HIPAA).
· Implement data classification, encryption (TDE), access control (role-based security), and auditing features of SQL Server.
· Manage metadata and ensure consistent data definitions across the organization.
    4. Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Support · Architect and manage data warehouses and data marts using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integra on Services (SSIS).
· Design ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion on, transformation on, and loading using SSIS and stored procedures.
· Enable business reporting solutions with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and integra on with Power BI as needed.
5. Machine Learning and AI Enablement · Support data provisioning for machine learning projects through structured SQL based pipelines.
· Collaborate with Data Science teams to design and optimization datasets for AI workloads hosted internally or through SQL Server Machine Learning Services.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration · Work closely with IT infrastructure, software development, and business intelligence teams to align data solutions with business goals.
· Translate business needs into detailed, technically sound data architectures and specifications.
· Provide technical leadership on database and data management best practices.
  Nationality: Any Arabic Nationality to achieve better communication and understand our Arabic data content better.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science engineering or information and computer science Faculties.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise data architecture and database administration within a Microsoft environment.
· Expert se in SQL Server (2016/2019/2022 preferred) administration on, optimization on, and security.
· Strong proficiency in T-SQL development and stored procedure optimization.
· Hands-on experience with SSIS (ETL), SSAS (data modeling), and SSRS (reporting).
· Solid understanding of data governance, compliance, and information on security standards.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Master Data Services (MDS) and Data Quality Services (DQS) is a plus.
· Excellent communication, documenta on, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills · Certification on: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Data Management and Analy cs.
· Experience with hybrid on-premises and Azure SQL environments (optional, if applicable).
· Exposure to AI/ML workflows using Microsoft tools (e.
g., SQL Server ML Services, Azure Machine Learning).
· The candidate must have CDMP · Its better if candidate has TOGAF certificate (not mandatory).
