JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Objective of Position The Data Integration Manager for the “GrEAT” region (Middle East, Pakistan, Turkey and North West Africa) is responsible for negotiating & aligning technical & contractual requirements for data integration projects with customers in this region (e.g. MoH, KOLs, HCPs). Responsibility for the day-to-day management, contracting, and successful implementations of Abbott Diabetes Care´s healthcare software integrations into Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Health Integration Exchanges (HIE) Leading and owning the planning, scheduling, and coordinating the efforts of ADC´s data integration projects to meet customer requirements and timelines. This requires in depth knowledge of our digital health tool ecosystem and its technical interfaces paired with the local EMR market and requirements.
Major Accountabilities
Understand business needs from multiple stakeholders in terms of data integration, translate these needs into technical requirements that meet the capabilities of our interfaces. Manage key aspects of assigned projects over the project lifespan (initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closure), ensuring successful customer acceptance and closure of each project. The data integration manager is not directly involved in the technical implementation of a software project, which is led by the R&D team. Travel to customer sites within GrEAT region with a focus on the Middle East region to conduct project kick-off, planning, technical requirement gathering, project closure meetings, post project support, as necessary. Closely work and partner with external customers, EMEA, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Business Development, and Global R&D on feasibility and technical implementation of data integration projects Provide management oversight for each project and communicate the project schedule to internal stakeholders and customer project teams. Track and report project milestones. Act as point of contact on EMR integration in GrEAT for internal stakeholders.
Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of the data integration solutions, understanding the key market drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities. Help to envision future digital health solutions needs among changing business processes and models. Maintain expert knowledge of cloud-based APIs, JSON and HL7 data formats, OAuth2.0 authentication format as well as any other healthcare and general IT security standards.
Education
University degree in computer science or related IT field of study; MBA preferred
Background
Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience and track record in negotiating & aligning technical requirements for cloud-based data integration projects Experience in data sharing and EMR integration of cloud-based health data e.g. via API using JSON and HL7 data formats as well as OAuth 2.0 authentication At least 7 to 10 years of previous relevant experience, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry Proficiency in one programming language and knowledge of databases Proficiency in software development practices such as software project management, requirements management and change management Experience in working in matrix organizations Knowledge in Health Care or MedTech or Pharma, ideally the Diabetes sector Ideally, proficiency in AI to help in advancing our digital health solution in leveraging the potentials of AI
