The Design Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, review, and implementation of electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing detailed electrical drawings, load calculations, technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. The engineer will closely coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective electrical design solutions.
Develop complete electrical design packages including single line diagrams, layout drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations
Design power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing/grounding, and lightning protection systems
Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and material submittals for electrical works
Review and approve shop drawings, technical submissions, and vendor documents
Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, IEEE, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, and local authority regulations
Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams to resolve design interface issues
Provide technical support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning phases
Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and optimization to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and site coordination meetings as required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering
Prior experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
Experience working in the Middle East is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP / EPLAN / Dialux (or equivalent electrical software)
Hands-on experience in preparing detailed electrical drawings and calculations
Ability to interpret technical documents, specifications, and design standards
Good coordination and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
