Atkins is looking for an Electrical Engineer - Utilities/Infrastructure


Location: KSA - Riyadh


Job Type: Full-time


Job Summary: AtkinsRéalis is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with 8+years of on-site experience in stadium projects within the Utilities/Infra sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations


Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Building Services Electrical Engineering Design on lighting and power systems following British and local standards.
  • Supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage projects using BIM models developed to 4D & 5D levels, including reviewing contractor models and managing project controls (time and budget).
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and other design consultants.
  • Coordinate with and supervise Electrical Engineers and AutoCAD Technicians.
  • Perform arithmetical and independent design checks of team and contractor designs.
  • Report to the Head of the MEP Department, ensuring work accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee CAD works under their supervision and instruct CAD operators on project-related matters.
  • Follow QA procedures and provide guidance to Engineers/Technicians.
  • Develop and compile tender documents.
  • Handle Electrical project local authority (UPDA) DC1 and DC2 submittals.
  • Evaluate contractor submittals, write reports, and provide problem-solving solutions.
  • Prepare minutes and reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng preferred).
  • 8+ years of on-site experience in stadium projects within the Utilities/Infrastructure sector.
  • Experience working in the Middle East region.
  • Understanding of district cooling and firefighting principles.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in BIM models, specifically 4D and 5D.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with local authority submission processes.
  • Knowledge of lighting and power system designs adhering to British and local standards.
