FORKLIFT OPERATOR

ROLE:

·To perform any operation of moving materials or equipment with the forklift

·Operate forklift in accordance with Nabobs Policies and Procedures

·Maintain forklift, perform daily and monthly inspections, keep up with preventive maintenance and all paperwork that is associated with it

·Inform Rig Manager or Mechanic of any problems that arise with the forklift from Operations or found during inspections

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Personal responsible for own safety and conducting one’s self to the standards of Nabors Policies and Procedures.

• Always wear and make sure everyone around you wears proper PPE.

• Safe Operation of Forklift when performing any duties involved when moving equipment or materials

• Ensure that no passengers are allowed to ride on the forklift at any time.

• Recognize, understand and use proper hand signals when operating forklift and insure the people working with you also understand and use the proper signals.

• Inspection of forklift on a daily basis, to include wheels and tires, instrumentation, lights, backup alarms, air system, forks and all fluid levels on engine, forklift, batteries and fuel.

• In charge of Preventive Maintenance Schedule and all paperwork associated with PMS on forklift.

• Keeping all inspection forms and paperwork up to date.

• Inspection of all lifting gear associated with the forklift on a daily basis.

• Ensure lifting gear has been inspected and is color-coded to match the Nabors Color Code Matrix.

• Always be aware of what you are doing, never endanger yourself or the people working around you.

• Immediately report anything incorrect with the forklift no matter how minor to Rig Manager or Tour Pusher, Mechanic and Electrician.

• Be involved in all safety meetings and toolbox talks and the smart program.

• Maintain good communication with everyone so they know what you are doing at all times.

• Keeping enough tubulars on rack for crew when drilling.

• Handle tubulars to Nabors Standards when laying them down and chock properly when loading in pipe tub, onto pipe racks or loading onto trucks.

• Always take the time to make sure you have the proper equipment for the job you are doing.

• Be a leader to the roustabouts working with or for you, teach them, when doing a job explain to them why and what you are doing.

• Keep all training and certifications up to date.

• Discuss with warehouseman/mechanic and make sure you have all spares needed to keep forklift running properly and safely on rig

.• Assist crane with forklift if any help is needed to move materials, equipment or during a rig move operation.

• Most importantly keep a good attitude and treat the people around you as you would like to be treated.

• Ensure understanding of, and compliance with, Nabors permit to work system.

Minimum years of Experience:

1 year of experience.

Qualifications:

SAG license. Good knowledge of English both Spoken and written.
