Responsibilities:
  • Follows all relevant instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job in the catering services (food preparation, presentation and all other support services) to ensure continuity of work. 
  • Assists in the preparation of most basic foodstuff using simple kitchen utensils and equipment as directed ensuring availability and freshness of all basic items. 
  • Assists in the setting up of dining areas including erecting and moving dining furniture, setting tables etc. in order to serve food in clean and organised premises. 
  • Under supervision, undertakes work that falls within the range of general kitchen and cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas and assists in waste materials removal and disposal. 
  • Serves food and beverages to customers and their guests in the assigned catering operations area, provides a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with company’s standards in order to maximise customer satisfaction. 
  • Complies with all relevant food hygiene, safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment and quality products and services are provided to customers. 

Qualifications:

Education:


  • High school 
  • Basic literacy to read instructions and manuals 

Experience:


  • No specific previous experience is required 
  • Some general catering experience is preferable
