Your Opportunity
We are looking for HSE Officer to support the HSE Manager and operations teams with any administrative activities related to health and safety. Acts as a key point of contact between SSFC and stakeholders on site across NEOM and ensure timely reporting and management of items raised in assure.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to multi-task and manage various tasks, and good communication. Excellent organisation, time management and prioritizing skills.
This role is part of the Fire and Rescue team and will be based in our Transport Function office in Saudi.
Key Accountabilities
- Manages all assure items collating trends and putting together briefing packs to ensure mitigation of risk and training to the team
- Ensure all team members are trained in how to raise observations in assure
- Support the HSE Manager with the collation of information for any open investigations
- Work with the teams to improve safety culture
- Proactive resolution and problem solving in relation to issues
- Ensure clear and consistent communication of useful and necessary information to all stakeholders.
- Schedule regular meetings and take meeting minutes/ record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps in relation to procurement)
- Keeps a thorough log of all HSE documents to ensure their availability on audit
- Performs miscellaneous administrative duties.
- Effectively communicates with colleagues and the client's representatives.
- All work performed as per HSE regulations, municipal by-laws, government legislation and Building codes.
- Perform other works as directed by line manager.
- To act as a key point of contact for all HSE SOPs and ensure they are understood and up to date – in line with current regulation and reflective of learning based on safety observations or investigation outcome
- Promotes a good HSQE and Information Security culture among their peers, subcontractors and third parties.
- Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures, and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
- Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance, and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy
- Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and always ensure adherence to these requirements whilst in employment
- Awareness of the Integrated Management System and the content of the Environment, Quality, Health & Safety, and Information Security Policy Statements
Specific Requirements (What we are looking for in our candidates)
- A degree or relevant industry certification is required
- Health and Safety qualifications are desirable
- Proficient Microsoft Office user
