Job Description

Inventory Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking and handling of all inventories. Ensure precise tracking and recording of spare parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promptly addressing any discrepancies.

Safety Standards: Ensure that all shipments and Store activities comply with established safety and quality standards, minimizing the risk of accidents and damage.

Efficient Shipment Handling: Oversee the smooth handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying the accuracy and condition of received spare parts and coordinating transportation activities within the Port.

Quality Inspections: Coordinate inspections of received spare parts, ensuring that quality standards are met, and collaborating with relevant departments to address any issues.

Organization and Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, following 5S principles to guarantee Safety operation within and outside the Store, optimize process efficiency and facilitate easy retrieval of spare parts.

Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, user departments, and suppliers to facilitate seamless operations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate forklifts, hand pallet trucks, and other equipment safely and efficiently, and participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment by providing useful and timely reporting of any observations. Support the planning team in submitting Asset inspection checklists promptly.

Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the store and inventory management functions, implementing changes to enhance efficiency.

Training and Knowledge Transfer: Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge transfer by conducting training sessions on the job for team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and warehouse management best practices.

Support Functions: Provide support to the inventory management and controls section, ensuring smooth and safe operations within the warehouse. Oversee the activities of the Inventory officers and report promptly their activities to the Stores and Inventory Management team.
