Job Title: PAUT Technician
Job Summary

We are seeking experienced and certified PAUT Technicians to perform advanced ultrasonic testing and inspection activities in accordance with international standards. The role involves ensuring the integrity, safety, and quality of welded joints, pipelines, and structural components through accurate testing, analysis, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components.


  • Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Shear Wave inspections as per project requirements.


  • Set up, calibrate, and operate PAUT equipment and related instruments.


  • Interpret inspection data, analyze results, and identify defects accurately.


  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation in English.


  • Ensure compliance with ASNT, client specifications, and international inspection standards.


  • Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, and project managers during inspections.


  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper handling and calibration.


  • Follow workplace safety procedures and quality control guidelines.


  • Support audits, third-party inspections, and technical reviews when required.


Essential Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Related Discipline).


  • ASNT Level II PAUT Certification or BCN Certification (Mandatory).


  • Valid UT Shear Wave Certification.


  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in PAUT and UT inspections.


  • Good command of spoken and written English.


Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of PAUT techniques, calibration, and data interpretation.


  • Expertise in UT Shear Wave and conventional UT methods.


  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.


  • Proficiency in inspection reporting and technical documentation.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Good communication and coordination abilities.


  • Capability to work independently and under site pressure.


  • Familiarity with international inspection standards and codes.


  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in defect identification.


Experience Requirements
  • Minimum Experience: More than 5 Years in PAUT and UT inspection.


  • Industry Exposure: Oil & Gas / Power Plant / Petrochemical / Construction / Manufacturing (Preferred).


  • Experience in site-based inspection environments is highly desirable.


Other Requirements
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as per project needs.


  • Ability to work in shifts, extended hours, and challenging environments.


  • Physically fit for field inspection activities.


  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professional ethics.
