Procurement Contracts Assistant Manager
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Procurement Contract, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for
Periodically review MOF contract guidelines, identify the need for updates to current templates, and liaise with Legal to agree on necessary changes.
Receive PO/LoA, conduct risk assessments, review provisions and terms, and draft contracts based on MOF and internal guidelines, addressing vendor feedback as needed.
Send revised contracts to Legal for approval, obtain required signatures, share signed contracts with relevant entities, and manage contract closure after meeting obligations.
Monitor contracts to ensure timely delivery, adherence to quality and schedules, and compliance with terms while following up on goods/services delivery and updating status.
Advise on delivery issues, initiate claims processes, consolidate documentation, and resolve disputes in coordination with Legal and stakeholders.
Review variation requests and justifications, ensure compliance with regulations and original terms, and create and approve Variation Orders while updating relevant databases.
Manage subordinate employees by setting performance objectives, providing guidance and support, and evaluating performance regularly.
Develop the business plan for the department in alignment with Procurement & Contracts goals and STA’s strategic objectives and perform additional tasks as required.
Perform other activities as and when required.
You will need
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement, or equivalent is preferred
Recommended not less than 3-5 years of experience in relevant field
