Job Description
As Projects & Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating project development
and progress of EtonHouse’s school and preschool projects from initiation to
completion, and for ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will also be
responsible for oversight of team members, setting deadlines, and monitoring
every stage of project progress. Post project delivery, you will also be
responsible for the ongoing facilities management and maintenance of
EtonHouse’s school and preschool campuses in Saudi Arabia.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Management- Overall delivery of the school and preschool projects from
initiation to completion
- Coordinate with relevant parties to manage progress of the
project to make sure that the schedule is kept.
- Oversee the project team and subcontractors in delivery of
project to meet completion date.
- Work with project (landlord) and school team to manage
project operations, schedule and specifications
- Attending site meetings and support regular project progress
meetings, and reporting on project progress as required and remove barriers by
communicating openly.
- Manage procurement, delivery and installations of school
and preschool furniture and equipment
- Manage operational cost to keep cost within the budget.
- Manage contractors’ and vendors’ activities to ensure
compliance of contract requirements.
- Monitor quality of project delivery to make sure they meet
project requirements and regulations.
- Monitor compliance of work with the workplace safety and
health regulations.
- Supervise daily site activities
- Liaise with various relevant government authorities in Saudi
Arabia
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities assigned
Facilities Management- Plans and delivers regular preventive maintenance of
facilities including aircon servicing, maintenance of kitchen equipment,
kitchen exhaust, fridge maintenance, painting and cleaning of all facilities in
the school
- Ensures that the Campus is a safe and secure environment for
our children and employees.
- Handles maintenance requests and update maintenance request
records and monitor response time
- Handles feedback from Principal and Teachers, and provide
prompt responses within the same day
- Adheres to effective execution of safety and standard
operating procedures and workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines
- Supervise contractors and team of security, cleaners and
maintenance officers, ensuring their full attendance and to keep proper records
of their attendance
- Monitors performance of contract cleaning staff to ensure
that they are cleaning the assigned zones and meets the high cleaning standards
set and that cleaning equipment and chemicals are stored safely
- Manages external vendors and contractors on-site maintenance
works and their contracts in terms of work completion and thorough cleanliness
- Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out in
compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Liaise with various relevant government authorities in Saudi
Arabia
- Handles procurement of maintenance or minor renovation works
relating to school’s facilities
- Be in-charge of all matters relating to the school’s
logistics and facilities management
- Undertake any other duties or responsibilities assigned
Qualification & Position Requirements- Degree or Diploma in Project Management / Mechanical /
Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in Project
Management and coordination, preferably in school environment or similar
- Able to understand construction and technical drawings,
specifications and requirements
- Strong experience and knowledge in construction and
workplace safety regulations
- Self-driven and committed individual with excellent follow
up
- Highly motivated and adaptable with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power
Point, Project)
- Knowledge in auto-cad
- Able to work independently with little supervision and
guidance
