Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in the real estate industry in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantity surveying, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, ensuring that the project is completed within its projected budget. You will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, budgets, and reports while collaborating closely with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Monitor project expenditures and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential financial risks associated with projects.
4. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company.
5. Prepare progress reports and forecasts for project managers and stakeholders.
6. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to construction costs and contracts.
7. Provide advice on procurement strategies and methods to optimize project costs.
8. Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient practices.
9. Review and validate contractor payments and claims, ensuring they align with contractual agreements.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies that may impact project costs.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the real estate sector.
2. Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
3. Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage relationships with clients and contractors.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Proficiency in relevant software and tools used for cost estimation and project management.
6. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
7. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
8. Professional certification in quantity surveying or related fields is a plus.
9. Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership capabilities.
