SCM & Logistics Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Sourcing:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for materials, components, and services required in air-conditioning manufacturing. Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.



2.Supplier Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain high-quality standards.



3.Procurement Process Optimization:

Streamline and optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with production goals.



4.Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

Conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.



5.Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that purchased materials and components meet required quality standards. Implement processes to assess and audit supplier quality management systems.

6.Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages, delays, or quality issues. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges


Job Requirements:

1.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2.10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on air-conditioning or HVAC systems.

3.Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

4.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

5.Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.

6.Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.

7.Minimum of 5 years SCM experience in the Air conditioning Manufacturing Industry, of which a minimum of 3 years as a Procurement Engineer

8.SAP, Software knowledge - Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (Microsoft)
