Position Summary:


As a Senior Scheduling Control Engineer (E2) at Hill International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects by overseeing the scheduling and control processes. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and identify and resolve any scheduling issues.


General Description of Role and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to create realistic and achievable project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and identify any potential delays, risks, or issues.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to mitigate delays and ensure project schedule is on track.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress meetings with project team members.
  • Communicate schedule updates and changes to stakeholders and project team members.
  • Analyze project data and provide insights to improve scheduling and control processes.
  • Train and mentor junior scheduling engineers on best practices and procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on schedule status.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedule requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Continuously monitor and improve project scheduling and control procedures to maximize efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in scheduling and control for construction projects.
  • Proficient in industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
  • PMP or PSP certification is a plus.
