Primary Role FocusEnsure the department completes daily tasks in a safe and timely manner while maintaining quality standards. This role reports to the Service Center Manager.Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Ensure all Packers Plus policies and procedures are followed
Prioritize, delegate and perform day-to-day tasks with team
Communicate delayed completion of Projects and Tasks to Team Lead, with suggested options to resolve
Partner with Team Lead and Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) for documentation of incidents or safety concerns
Ensure Non-conformance (NCRs) concerns are properly documented, actioned, and completed
Monitor shop equipment & ensure completion of all preventative maintenance and inspections
Monitor and provide feedback, on employee performance, to Team Lead for Performance Management
Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
Sustainment and continuous improvement of Packers Plus Way (PPW)
Identify high demand areas in the shop, and assist other departments when the production schedule allows
Delegate and perform daily shop cleaning
Assist Team Lead with on-the-job training for all new employees
Host daily department meetings to communicate the day’s activities, safety updates, and awareness
Availability for On-call coverage is required
Position Requirements Experience and Skills
Knowledge of Shop processes and procedures
Mechanical aptitude
Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Fluent in English (read/write/speak)
Experience in a leadership role is an asset
Knowledge of tool assembly and functionality is an asset
Warehouse experience is an asset
Shipping/ Receiving experience is an asset
3-5 years experience in down hole tools
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
